Arsenal vs. Queens Park Rangers

1-0, Premier League, Emirates, 2011-12-31
van Persie 60

Vital win! This was the game where we put the record straight after the Wolves clash. The two games resembled each other a lot, only this time we didn't make a mistake at the back, so the one goal was enough to grant us the three points on a day when all other top teams dropped points, Man United and Chelsea lost, so now we're fourth! And Tottenham dropped points as well, so third place is definitely within our grasp!

The first half was rather frustrating, especially for the skipper, who had at least three really good goalscoring opportunities. However, in the second half van Persie won us the game! Arshavin passed the ball to the Dutchman who scored comfortably. With this strike he surpassed Henry's club record of 34 goals scored in the calender year.

With that I just have to say that Henry is on the verge of signing a two-month loan move to us! Sounds brilliant!

Injury Update;
-Vermaelen picked up an injury in this game, so we currently have three left-backs out injured.
-Gibbs will soon be back, however, it is likely that we will have to sign another left-back during the transfer window.
