Manchester City vs. Arsenal

0-1, Premier League, City of Manchester Stadium, 2011-12-18

Shame about the result today but let's try an stay positive! We played some really good football and defended really well overall. I do get the feeling that I too often do when it comes to Arsenal in the big games, we play so well but in the end we get nothing out of it!

The first half ended nil-nil, which was very much to our credit since City dominated much of the first thirty minutes. But as long as we didn't concede you did get the impression that we could've won the game.

Sadly we conceded due to something of a horror moment, we completely left the right-hand side! It was a bad, bad decision... What really disappoints me is that there was no-one who ran like crazy to put pressure and try to nick the ball! In that moment I just didn't understand the team..
But as mentioned, let's just stay positive and acknowledge the fact that we played some good football and had a solid defence for most parts of the game (something that we're not exactly famous for).

On Wednesday we face Aston Villa in Birmingham, and for the sake of my Christmas I hope that the team will produce something special!

Injury Update;
-Djourou got replaced early on in the second half after what appeared to be a groin injury, which most likely means that he will be out for quite some time.
-Santos had had to go through surgery, so he won't be back any time soon.
-Wilshere looks to be back in mid-February.
-Gibbs might be back for the Villa game, but most likely for next weekend!
