Arsenal vs. Wolverhampton

2-0, Premier League, Emirates, 12/2 -11
van Persie 16, 56

Considering the amount of goals van Persie has scored since returning from injury, who knows how far we'd have come if he had not been injured so much! He truly is a top striker and with him back it certainly feels as though we could go all the way this year!
This was a great performance from the team, I think it ended with something like 17-2 in attempts to score, Wolves didn't have a single shot at goal throughout the entire game!

We dominated this game throughout and really deserved more than just two goals, but the most important thing is that we got the two goals, one in each half.
We should've been one-nil up early on but the ref decided (for some weird reason) not to play advantage so when Fabregas scored he had already given us a free kick!
The first goal came out of nothing really, Fabregas crossed the ball to van Persie who somehow managed to get a shot away, which no one was prepared for! It was a beautiful piece by captain and co-captain.

The second came rather early in the second half, van Persie once again stunned the guests as he finished off a great counter-attack, Walcott was the provider this time and served it on a plate for the Dutchman.

Now we look ahead for a BIG midweek clash, we play Barcelona at the Emirates on Wednesday...

Injury Update;
-No new injuries from this game as far as I know, and Wenger has revealed that Nasri might be available for the Barcelona clash!
-Vermaelen is still two to three weeks away though...
