Arsenal vs. Stoke

1-0, Premier League, Emirates, 23/2 -10
Squillaci 8

1-0 to the Arsenal! (now that's a sentence I don't write often, though earlier generations certainly has!) To be honest, I can't remember the last game we won 1-0.. Anyway, the most important thing will always be the three points, not the way we win them, now that March is coming so is the final months of the league run!

We were brilliant early on in the game, Walcott hit the post after barely a minute! But the goal came in a rather unexpected way, from a corner! Wilshere took the corner which found its way to Bendtner, who picked out Squillaci (and he was remarkably completely alone in the middle of the box!), and the French defender headed it home!

Though when Fabregas had to leave the pitch due to a hamstring problem after just fifteen minutes we noticeably lost a lot of pace going forward, and that wasn't boosted by the fact that Walcott had to be carried off on a stretcher when a Stoke player fell on his leg about twenty-five minutes into the second half.

Now we can look ahead to quite a game on sunday, The Carling Cup Final!!

Injury Update;
-Fabregas might make it for Sunday, though Walcott is definitely out for Sunday...
