Blackburn vs. Arsenal

3-4, Premier League, Ewood Park, 17/9 -11
Gervinho 10,
Arteta 33,
Chamakh 85

Its hauntingly frustrating to be an Arsenal fan these days... we should have won this game as we scored two own-goals and on top of that Blackburn got an offside goal allowed.

We had an amazing first half, and I finally started to recognise the club that I've supported for the past three years. Gervinho scored a beautiful opener, and even though Blackburn equalized through some sloppy defending we got back in front before half-time through a great strike from Arteta.

Then came the second half and the team from the first half were nowhere to be seen. Song couldn't do anything about scoring an own-goal from a free-kick, so they were level after just about five minutes. Then Yakubu scored an obvious offside goal, the linesman even had a perfect view of it! And then Koscielny wrapped it up with yet another own-goal following a break from Blackburn.

Chamakh came on and scored a header with something close to five minutes to go, and in the dying minutes Mertesacker came really close to saving the game for us, but unfortunately it was, yet again, not our day in the end.

Injury Update;
-Wilshere will be out for a long time yet, same goes for Vermaelen, and both are sorely missed.
-Sagna hobbled off in the second half, hopefully it isn't anything serious.
-it won't be too long until Diaby is back i should think.
-Rosicky has picked up a knee injury, but I don't think its long term.
