Arsenal vs. Bolton Wanderers

3-0, Premier League, Emirates, 24/9 -11
van Persie 46, 72,
Song 89

Congrats to our Captain, Robin van Persie, upon reaching the infamous Arsenal's '100 Club'. He is only the 17th player to make the list during Arsenal's long history! So a great honour for the Dutchman.

Finally I started to recognize the Arsenal! We played some amazing football today, especially in the second half. Though, once again, we had a bad start, where Bolton easily could have gotten the lead if it hadn't been for Szczesny, the Pole produced a stunning save to keep a clean sheet.

In the second half we got the lead at once through Robin van Persie, our very own flying Dutchman! However, the move started rather unpleasant as Gervinho was clipped by a Bolton player, but the ref played advantage and when Ramsey gave him a delicious pass, the captain didn't disappoint, and provided with a stunning shot.
Bolton were reduced to ten men when Wheater pulled at Walcott, and we definitely used the numerical advantage that we now had. Just about midway through the half van Persie doubled our lead as he converted a cross from Walcott.
Just at the end Song sealed the win with a superb strike from a great cut-back from Sagna.

Now it finally feels as though we're coming back from the pre-season, and just in time, next weekend we face Tottenham at White Hart Lane.. And before that we have a Champions League game against Olympiacos on wednesday.

Injury Update;
-Further setback for Wilshere as he'll be going through surgery on Monday, and won't be back until some time around Christmas.
-Benayoun received a slight injury in the midweek game, he has a small chance to return in time for the Tottenham game.
-Both Diaby and Vermaelen are expected to return after the international break that is coming up ahead.
