Arsenal vs. Chelsea

3-1, Premier League, Emirates, 27/12 -10
Song 44,
Fabregas 50,
Walcott 53

What a result, what an evening, it was just pure magic! Not just the fact that we beat Chelsea pretty comfortably, but the performance from the lads was just amazing, we really played as a unit out on the pitch, and I can't wait to keep watching us if this is how it will look in the future!
The two players that to me (and probably to most others as well) truly made the difference was Fabregas and Walcott (the captain was awarded the man of the match award after the game, but he said that it was for both him and Theo, as they had some real good connection in this game), but the entire team really stepped up and helped each other out, as I mentioned it was just magic to watch them play.

As expected it was really tight in the first half, Nasri had the best chance for us, but his lovely effort was turned over the bar by Cech.
We broke the deadlock though, with one minute to go of the first half Song got an opportunity, and he certainly didn't waste it. We had some play in the box and the ball eventually bounced to Song, but just before the ball got to Song Fabregas was brought down, and after the game the ref told Cesc that if Song wouldn't have scored we would have been given a penalty, so nothing to complain about concerning that!

We came out shining in the second half, and thanks to some great understanding between Walcott and Fabregas we were given a two-nil lead! But let's take one thing at the time, the second goal came when, after some battling in the centre by van Persie, the ball got to Walcott on the wing, and he did some speeded away from his defender and passed the ball brilliantly to Fabregas, who just had to tap it in!
For the third one the two switched places and Fabregas turned provider as Walcott snatched the ball from Malouda, quickly got the ball to Fabregas who didn't let us down with another amazing pass, and Walcott finished the move off with a great shot! Truly Spectacular!

Chelsea grabbed a goal four minutes later from a free kick, but never got particularly close to recover, so we, quite comfortably, managed to get the three points and a great morale boosting win!

Injury Update;
-Diaby came on to play for about fifteen minutes in this game, so he's finally back!
-Vermaelen is expected to return at the end of january, so the squad seems to be getting back to normal!

Not an injury but Cesc Fabregas will miss the trip to Wigan as he has been given five yellow cards and is suspended for one game.
