Arsenal vs. Fulham

1-1, Premier League, Emirates, 2011-11-26
Vermaelen 82

Obviously disappointing to drop points at home but when we come from behind to gain a point it does feel just that little bit better. Vermaelen scored both goals today, and just heard that he's only the third Arsenal player to do so. What an honour...

We were really dismal in this game, I mainly found it frustrating to watch us play today. In the last fifteen minutes we upped our game immensely, and got the equalizer when Vermaelen headed a Walcott cross in the back of the net. We kept pressing Fulham but couldn't find the winner and we're just going to have to settle for the one point for now.

On Tuesday we have a Carling Cup clash with Manchester City at the Emirates. Reckon the boss will rest quite some players, but will definitely be an interesting game.

Injury Update;
-No updates really, still have Gibbs, Jenkinson and Sagna out in the back and Wilshere out in the midfield.

Arsenal vs. Borussia Dortmund

2-1, Champions League, Emirates, 2011-11-24
van Persie 49, 86

We've now secured our place in the knock-out stages for yet another year! And we have already finished top of our group! Things really can't look better in the Champions League at the moment for us!!
Van Persie is truly unbelievable in this kind of form! He had a mediocre game,, and still he scored twice!! Amazing...

The game was really even, Dortmund played really good and put a lot of pressure on us, it's such a relief that we prevailed in the end!
We needed some individual brilliance to break the deadlock though, and it was Song who provided it for us. He showed amazing technique as he dribbled pass several players in the box and then provided the assist that van Persie headed in!
Before the end Robin sealed the game for us as Vermaelen headed a corner from Arteta toward the Dutchman, and he just had to tap it in!
It was a bit annoying as Dortmund got a goal in the final minute, but nothing can take away the relief and joy of the club as we head to yet another year of the knock-out stages in the Champions League!

Henry is back and training with us at the moment as the MLS is having a break, and for this game he was joined by Roger Federer in the stands and both of them went down the dressing room after the game to visit the boys, who needless to say were really excited about it!

Oh, and just a really cool fact, all the eleven players in our starting eleven came from different countries!! Eleven different nationalities in the starting line-up...

Injury Update;
-Diaby made his long-awaited comeback at the end of this game! great to have him back, feels like a new signing!
-Rosicky has picked up a small injury in training, but will hopefully be back soon!

Norwich City vs. Arsenal

2-1, Premier League, Carrow Road, 2011-11-19
van Persie 27, 59

Tough, tough game, but three vital points and our fifth win in a row! We played some brilliant attacking football in this game, and really enjoyed the game, even though I'd obviously had preferred it if we sealed the game!
Our captain is absolutely unstoppable at the moment! He is now distancing himself from the rest in the top-scorer's table with twelve goals!

We were unlucky to fall behind in the game when Mertesacker misjudged a situation, but we made our early advantage count when Theo played in a marvellous cross for van Persie to tap in. The Dutchman won the game for us in the second half when Ramsey won the ball, but fell over, so Song jumped over him and played an amazing pass to Robin, who delicately chipped the ball over the 'keeper.

What I really enjoyed about this game was, as I stated earlier, the attacking play that we had. Some really nice free-flowing football was on display and we are picking up from where we left off before the international break.

Injury Update;
-we currently have three full-backs on the sidelines, Gibbs (who recently went through surgery), Jenkinson (who has a stress-fracture), and Sagna (who has a fractured-fibula).
-Ryo Miyaichi has an ankle sprain and will be missing for about a month and a half.
-Chamakh will be back from his knee injury for next weekend.
-There is no chance that Jack will be back before mid January, which is a massive disappointment!

Arsenal vs. West Bromwich Albion

3-0, Premier League, Emirates, 2011-11-05
van Persie 22,
Vermaelen 39,
Arteta 74

Solid performance from the lads and some brilliant play, both going forward and defending. Everything seemed to be right and it was a comfortable win in the end. Three goals, three points, a clean sheet, no injuries and no bookings. Definitely easy on the eye!

Our very own captain Fantastic, Robin van Persie, continue his goalscoring form and put us ahead when he tapped in the rebound from Theo's shot! But credit goes to Aaron Ramsey for providing a breath-taking pass to the young Englishman!
Not too much later we got to see Vermaelen mark his return from injury with a powerful strike, van Persie provided the assist.

In the second half we continued the domination from the first half, I don't think W.B.A had a single shot on goal during the entire game! Anyway, it was Arteta who got to finish the scoring of the day when Robin pulled the ball back to the Spaniard who finished it brilliantly!

All I can say is that I agree with the new banner that is showcased at the Emirates nowadays, "We don't need Batman, We've got Robin" .

Injury Update;
-Wilshere looks to be back in training in mid-December. Diaby is about three weeks away still and Gibbs might be back after the international break that takes place in the coming week.

Arsenal vs. Marseille

0-0, Champions League, Emirates, 2011-11-01

What an experience! The Emirates will never cease to amaze me, like the team that plays on its pitch.

Now, some critics said that it was a rather dismal game and such, but to me it certainly didn't feel that way! Marseille had some good chances early on but we grew into the game and Ramsey had a trio of great chances in the first half. The young Welshman is growing as a player, getting better and better by each game it seems, he had an amazing game at Stamford Bridge last weekend and yet another good display in this game. Szczesny gave us all a bit of a heart-attack though, showcasing some skills with his feet in the box, he sure is full of confidence!

When Robin came on in the second half it sounded as though we had just won the game! In fact, it started as soon as he started to warm up!

An amazing atmosphere it was, and I really enjoyed the game! We still have it in our own hands to qualify for the knock-out stages.

Injury Update;
-no new injuries from this game, Chamakh and Gibbs are still out for a while longer though. It certainly feels good to have Vermaelen back!
